The Freestyle Kayaking Competition is based on the paddler's ability to do tricks and maneuvers in a river hole or standing wave. Competitors will Cartwheel, Loop, and Spin to accumulate points based by style, difficulty and how "huge" the moves are. This year's competition is part of a six-event, nationwide series put together by USA Freestyle Kayaking and sanctioned by USA Canoe Kayak. Competitors will accumulate points over the season to get a chance to compete at the National Championships in Missoula, MT. This series will allow competitors to compete with each event run under the same guidelines and judging protocols.
