"Wynnie" Memorial Crazy River Dog Competition
Sponsor : TBA

Wynnie Hammond, Welsh Corgi, with her four inch legs and lack of tail, may not have looked the part, but her attitude and heart were completely Crazy River Dog. From the Pennsylvania horse farm where she spent the first part of her life to the wilds of Colorado, she was always top dog. Long-legged dogs and raft-guide trainees alike were brought into line like an unruly herd of sheep when Wynnie was in town. And if her people were headed to the river - she was in! Whether riding a throne of dry bags on a gear boat taking in the view, picking up litter on walks along the Ark, or hanging out on a sunny rock at the Salida play hole greeting everyone, she was smiling. Today she is missed by many friends as they fondly recall her truly bad breath and the insistent but dignified woofs generated when anyone stopped petting her before she felt the petting should end. Miss you tons Wyn - glad I got to be one of your people. Thank you FIBArk for honoring Wynnie!
- Sincerely, Sarah Hammond
